Kinderfeets Balance Bikes & Trikes Comparison Guide

If you're on the hunt for the best balance bike or trike for your young one but aren't sure which size or model to go for, we have you covered! Kinderfeets has perfected three different models to accommodate all little riders. And because of our bikes' adjustable features – designed to adapt with your child as they grow – you will be able to select the right size from day one and still be guaranteed plenty of use!

For our youngest riders, both the TINY TOT and TINY TOT PLUS offer two-in-one value, converting from a trike to a balance bike whenever your little zoomer is ready.

The TINY TOT is a smaller frame, best suited for one to two-year-olds, while the larger-sized TINY TOT PLUS caters for children aged 18 months to four years. Our regular Balance Bike is suitable for children aged between two and five who are keen to balance on two wheels from day one. For a more comprehensive overview, please view the chart below.

Kinderfeets Balance Bikes & Trikes Comparison Guide*While the above serves as a guide, the best way to work out the right size for your child is to measure the inside length of their leg and compare with each bike's seat height ranges.

As pictured below, your child should be able to comfortably place both feet flat on the ground when seated, as this will allow them to propel the bicycle forward with running motion and bring the bicycle to a stop with their feet firmly contacting the ground.

It is also worth noting on the chart that there is an overlapping of range figures (age, height) across the different models. This allows you to select the bike for your child with as much room-to-grow as possible. However, when it comes to choosing between the TINY TOT PLUS and the Balance Bike for a child aged two, for instance, we recommend making this decision based on your child's level of coordination confidence, as only the the TINY TOT PLUS gives the option of starting as a three-wheeled trike.

Happy adventuring!
